2018 NEHCA Spring Show & Gathering Schedule of Events
NEHCA will host its annual Show and Gathering to promote our breed and enjoy the camaraderie such gatherings bring. Once again the event will be held at the Eastern States Exposition, this year in the Mallary Arena, 1305 Memorial Ave., West Springfield, Massachusetts 01089. This year again, it will be in conjunction with the Big East Youth and Jackpot Show through which all Junior Events will be run. Deadline: all entries and reservations are due by April 1st

NEHCA is not having individual Junior events, all Junior events are being held with the Big East Youth and Jackpot Show. Information will be available on the website, for questions please contact Youth Director Laura McDowell-May for more information 508-385-3034.

6pm Social/Cocktails (cash bar) and Silent Auction at the Holiday Inn Enfield, CT. Banquet to follow immediately after. (Banquet is $32 for adults and $21.50 for children 12yrs and under, please reserve your spot by April 1st by contacting the secretary)
Sunday – May 6th
Day of Departure – safe travels!
Lodging arrangements have been made at the Holiday Inn Enfield, CT. Room Rate is $105.00 plus taxes/fees. Reservations must be made with the hotel by April 1st to get this rate. Mention NEHCA.
CAMPERs/RVs– there are electric and water hookups adjacent to the rear of the Mallary complex. **There is a $15 fee for campers that must be paid at the gate upon entry.
SILENT AUCTION: Please donate something funny, beautiful, wonderful, ugly, interesting, or whatever you want as we depend on this on income, but mostly ‘cause it is so much fun! Please bring your donation with you to the social hour or a little before.
We are going all out to encourage owners who haven’t shown their cows before to give it a try. If you want or need help at the show, please contact Greg Markwell, 802-457-2643. Greg has been in contact with a number of experienced Highland owners who have volunteered to help you at the show with anything from setting up your stall, to grooming and ring tips. We want you to have a great time, take the big leap and use this opportunity to get into the show ring – you will be glad you did!
